Challenge:
The Serbian national grid required a significant capacity upgrade to ensure more reliable power delivery in response to increasing industrial and residential demands. The region’s aging infrastructure was under strain, and a high-capacity transformer was necessary to stabilize and future-proof operations. The project also had to be completed within a tight timeframe to avoid interruptions in service.
Our Solution:
We provided a 60 MVA, 22 kV high-voltage transformer, custom-designed for long-term durability and grid integration. The transformer was engineered with advanced cooling systems and robust insulation to meet Serbia’s environmental and operational conditions. Our team worked closely with the utility company to ensure that the unit met all technical specifications and was fully compatible with the existing grid infrastructure.
Implementation:
- Full transformer design, manufacturing, and factory testing
- Coordinated logistics for cross-border delivery
- On-site commissioning in collaboration with local technical teams
- Compliance with Serbia’s electrical and environmental standards
Impact:
The installation of the 60 MVA transformer significantly increased the grid’s stability and capacity, helping Serbia Electric Power Corporation meet current demand and prepare for future growth. The improved infrastructure also reduced the risk of outages and improved energy efficiency across the serviced regions.
