Serbia 2024 – 60 MVA 110 kV Main Transformer for Serbia Electric Power Corporation

Scope of Work:

Design, manufacture, and delivery of a 60 MVA 110 kV main transformer to support national grid stability and long-term energy infrastructure needs.

Technical Overview:

This transformer project involved the delivery of a high-capacity 60 MVA 110 kV main transformer, designed to serve as a critical part of the Serbia Electric Power Corporation’s (EPS) transmission system. The transformer enhances EPS’s ability to manage increasing energy loads and ensures efficient voltage regulation across multiple regions.

Challenges Addressed:

  • Infrastructure Modernization: The project required integration with Serbia’s legacy grid systems, demanding precise compatibility engineering.
  • Timely Manufacturing & Delivery: The project was on a tight national upgrade schedule, requiring optimized production and logistics planning.
  • High Reliability Demands: EPS required long-term performance under fluctuating load conditions, with minimal maintenance.

Impact:

  • Strengthened EPS’s transmission capacity at 110 kV voltage level
  • Improved energy distribution reliability for commercial and residential sectors
  • Supported Serbia’s national grid modernization goals
